What a beautiful couple of weeks it’s been!
Starting at the London Palladium, through Liverpool, Manchester, Buxton, York, Glasgow, Bexhill, Cambridge and ending at Birmingham’s stunning Symphony Hall.
A personal highlight was being able to share stages with my brother Adam Lipinski and Graham Nicholls, firstly at the London Palladium, then, again, in Birmingham, plus the evening in Manchester when my sister joined me on stage. Teresa has the best voice of the family, and she proved it…
A thank you to everyone who got to their seats early to catch my set. Testament to Marc’s fan base that we played to near on full houses every night. That isn’t the norm with a support slot.
It was great to meet so many of you at the merch stands after my set: knowing that many of you were turning on to my music for the first time, and thanks to so many for buying CD’s, Vinyl and T.Shirts.
That income keeps me afloat.
Sincere thanks to Marc Almond & Neal X for not only inviting me to open for the tour, but for taking the time to listen.
For someone like Marc to share his stages in support of an ‘up & coming’ artist is humbling and I’m very grateful for his generosity of spirit.
Getting up on stage to join the band for the encores was a blast, as we hammered out ‘Tainted Love’, ‘Say Hello (Wave Goodbye’) and shared harmony on ‘John, I’m only Dancing.’
Travelling round the country with this group of incredible musicians alongside Marc’s tireless crew, playing these iconic venues in front of the warmest of audiences, has been a joy.
Next up, we roll into Shiiine On Festival on Sunday 13th November, where I get to put my band ‘The Crown Electric’ back into the spotlight.
See you by the seaside, and if you’re lucky enough to hold a ticket for this incredible festival, come and say hello. We’re on the centre stage at 1pm.
