Welcome to The Sunday Service – Live from no. 9.
I’ll be doing a few of these over the coming months, playing a bunch of my own songs, as well as songs from some of my favourite artists.
My brother Adam joins me on the Sunday Service for ‘Closing Time’; the closing song and latest single from my new record ‘For Everything Under The Sun’. All of the elements you hear throughout the entire record are given a little bit of the spotlight in this song. We’ve recorded a live stripped down version for the Sunday Service; this is how I first heard it in my head – myself and my brother, sharing a midnight microphone, face to face. A highlight for us in the set when opening for Marc Almond last month, the stripped down version brings a different dynamic to the full band recording from the album.
